UWC Committees

Margaret Stinson, Chair

The House & Grounds Committee is responsible for the care of the furnishings and interior finishes of Ralph Connor House, as well as the gardens at 54 West Gate. The Committee works closely with the Club's Administrator and with Friends of Ralph Connor House Inc., the property owner.

As a special 100th aniversary project for Ralph Connor House, the Committee is planning a Small Treasures sale of antiques and collectibles. The sale will include antiques and collectibles from the collections of the Club and its members. The date of the Small Treasures sale is Saturday September 27, 2014.

Nelma Fetterman, Chair

The Communications Committee assists the Club's Committees and Activities by promoting and publicizing the programs offered by the Club, both internally and externally.. Preparation of news releases and articles for print are written to publicize Club events and create an awareness of UWC.

The Committee is composed of members  who each have a designated role or function. The Internal Communications person sends out announcements of Club programs, activities and updates through email. The External Communications person is responsible for publicity in the community and contact with the media. This is especially important for our Christmas Market. Our website manager designs Club posters, special occasions invitations, brochures and bookmarks for the Club to publicize activities and  also oversees the website.

Through  submissions of Club events, dining room menus and reports from Committee Chairpersons and Activity convenors the membership is kept informed through our newsletter by the editor of “The Bulletin”.

We have a few other members on the committee that attend and offer their support on Club matters, procedures and protocol.
