Bar-B-Que Scandal ! Feb.6, 2016 by Runaround Sue
Last Wednesday evening, Tom Dooley met his demise by a Bar-B- Que fork through the heart. The list of suspects included all who were attending the social gathering. During the grilling, we discovered that Chubby Cheddar lip syncs his songs, Ivan Spudnik is an embezzler, Johnny Angel is a bounty hunter for the KGB, Bobby Sox is an ambitious, greedy grasper, Barby Q is involved in stolen cars and the grieving fiancé, Tiara Diamond, is pregnant. Dan Dragnet searched the suspects, looking for clues. This reporter was there and saw it all! Innocent until proven guilty means we cannot disclose the perp’s name. Murder most “fowl” did not stop us from enjoying the delicious chicken dinner. (See below too.)

Our December 2, 2015 meeting at 4:30pm is the occasion of our Christmas Gift Exchange. Bring one gift-wrapped new or gently used book and see what you end up with when all the swapping and snitching is finished.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, i.e. Christmas Market and Remembrance Day, we have had to change the date of our November meeting. In consultation with most of you and with Maggi in the Office we settled on Mon., Nov. 16. We will gather around 5:00 pm, squabble over – ‘erdiscuss – our pizza order and probably choose Santa Lucia. Somewhere around 6:00 we will start the movie. Rhoda has found a new series set in New Zealand’s South Island (The Brokenwood Mysteries) so we’ll look forward to getting our Kiwi on.
In December we will hold our Christmas book exchange. Bring a book, new or gently used and gift-wrapped, that you think somebody else will enjoy) and prepare to choose and potentially lose your first choice. Stay tuned!!
