This provincial Council is an inclusive, diverse, independent and volunteer organization with a focus on serving the interests of women, families and communities.
The Council is a nonpartisan, nonsectarian network of organizations and individuals of diverse interests networking to pursue work of common interest where the stability of the family and the welfare of the community are concerned.
This organization promotes and encourages the conservation of historic/heritage structures and sites and attends to those matters which enhance and complement this purpose. Their emphasis is on restoration, revitalization, preservation, education and advocacy, in order to augment the cultural inheritance of the community.
The Manitoba Historical Society (MHS) is the oldest organization in western Canada devoted to the promotion of public interest in, and preservation of, the region’s historical resources. They encourage research and publications relating to the history of Manitoba; promote and encourage public interest in Manitoba and Canadian history; foster the preservation of property relating to the history of Manitoba; and, assist in the formation and work of local historical societies in furthering the objectives of the Society throughout Manitoba.
The Heritage Canada Foundation is a national, membership-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the conservation, understanding, and appreciation of Canada’s built heritage, historic places, and cultural landscapes and their importance in the life of our communities.
